Brief history and strategic directions
The enterprise was founded in 1994 as a private company "Anda Optec". The privatization of the state enterprise "Anda" in 1995 enabled the company to obtain fixed assets and technology, which gave the start to carrying out the business activity. Silica optical fibers bundles and medical instruments for laser equipment make the main part of the company's products. The employees of the company are well experienced as their experience finds its start 10 years ago in the fiber optics works of Livani Glass Factory on the bases of which the state owned enterprise "Anda" was established.

For the nearest future the company has set its main developing strategy directed on the forming of the modern technical and technological bases allowing to switch from the manufacturing output in small quantities to the serial production.

The products are expected to be realized in the markets of the western countries.
Products and markets
Company produces silica optical fiber bundles of various kinds and instruments for medical laser equipment. The production finds its use in different branches of since and is used in various equipment building companies.

Optical fiber bundles as well as instruments for medical laser equipment do not make the final products. They serve as complete components in equipment building products. The customers are mainly found in the USA, Japan and in several West European countries.

The production has been realized through the branch offices of Ceram Optec in the USA and Germany.
Production, technology and inputs
The technological process of the production is based on producing silica optical fiber and its further processing.

Two modern optical fiber drawing towers operate in our company making possible to manufacture optical fibers of any kind and any diameter according to the technical requirements demanded by a customer. The company has been equipped with all the necessary technological equipment, controlling measuring devices and metal cutting machines for the further processing of silica optical fiber bundles and instruments for medical laser equipment.

The technological process of the production is labor consuming and demanding high professional level from the employees. Basic raw materials have been supplied by branch offices of Ceram Optec in the USA and Germany.
